The Second Annual Bayard Rustin Community Breakfast

Monday January 20, 10 a.m. - 12 noon
The Second Annual Bayard Rustin Community Breakfast
159 Ralph McGill Blvd
1st Floor Bruce Allmond Community Room

Presented by the Atlanta Gay and Lesbian Center and sponsored by the Human Rights Campaign, Congregation Bet Haverim, In The Life Atlanta, The Rainbow Center and ZAMI.

This breakfast is offered in honor of the late Bayard Rustin, principal organizer of the 1963 March on Washington and a major strategist of the civil rights movement. His contributions as an organizer and chief ally to Dr. Martin Luther King were downplayed because he was openly gay. We invite all who are participating in the MLK March to join the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered community in honoring Bayard Rustin and building bridges to foster a more united modern civil rights movement.

Immediately following the brunch we will proceed to the east corner of Peachtree and Ellis Streets which is the march line up site for lgbt and AIDS service organizations. The march begins at 1 p m.

For more information, please call 404-523-7500.
